YanaCorp served as the Official ICT Partner for the Yas Zanzibar International Marathon (23 November 2025), delivering an end-to-end digital platform for live runner tracking, participant management, bib printing and automated digital certificates — enabling a secure, reliable and highly visible race experience.
Project overview
YanaCorp designed, implemented and operated the event’s digital backbone: a unified system that connected registration, payments, participant credentials, real-time tracking and results publication. The platform provided organizers, participants, media and spectators with a single, authoritative source of truth throughout race day, while our on-ground team ensured seamless execution and participant support.
This engagement demonstrated YanaCorp’s ability to deliver mission-critical infrastructure in a live, high-visibility environment — from pre-event load testing and systems integration to on-site technical operations and post-event processing.
The challenge
Organising a marathon at national and international scale introduces several operational and technical challenges:
- Real-time tracking of hundreds (or thousands) of runners across start lines, checkpoints and finish.
- Accurate registration, bib allocation and identity verification under time pressure.
- Fast, reliable issuance and distribution of completion certificates.

- Integration of timing/tracking hardware, registration and result publication in low-bandwidth or island environments.

YanaCorp delivered a tailored marathon management platform and on-site services that included:
- Real-time runner tracking & public dashboard — each runner assigned a unique ID with live start/checkpoint/finish statuses, leaderboards and public feeds.
- Printable bibs — bibs containing runner info.
- Automated digital certificates — certificates generated and made available immediately after finish, removing manual bottlenecks.
- Secure registration — validated participant data and central participant database.
- On-site technical operations — branded kiosks, check-in desks, help desks and connectivity management.
